November Schedule

Because there are only 6 chapters that we will be reading in Lead like Jesus this year, one month we would need to skip, or find something else to read.  Since this month's work for Principles of Liberty is on the heavier side, I decided to skip this month.  Keep working on your EGO and getting your servant heart in line with what God wants you to be and do.

I have also not written down anything from your student manual to remind you, why write it twice when you are all capable of reading it from your student manual to know what you should be doing.  :)  This looks like a great month of discussion ahead of us, and I'm excited to learn with all of you!

November 5:

Principles of Liberty: Month 3 week 1 in your student manual.

November 12:

Principles of Liberty: Month 3 week 2 in your student manual.

November 19:

Principles of Liberty: Month 3 week 3 in your student manual.

December 3:

Principles of Liberty: Month 3 week 4 in your student manual.

For your readings this week, you will need to read at least two current events.  You can choose your own from the sites listed in your manual, or you can choose from the ones below:

- Paul Ryan speaking recently on many of the concepts covered; consider the concepts of legal plunder and legal vs. lawful, do you agree or disagree with him?
Renewing the American Idea

-Compare and contrast the speech on gun rights (imprimis article below) and The Economist article, then compare it to the 4th amendment and/or the original Bill of Rights.  The article from The New American could also be compared.

The Constitution from the original Bill of Rights or 4th amendment:
“Article the fourth... A well regulated Militia, being necessary to
the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear
Arms, shall not be infringed.”

    • **Optional reading: If you want to learn more and having a more enriching experience throughout the year, you can read the book, Whatever Happened to Justice? by Richard Maybury.  It will help you better understand many of the concepts taught in this first month.
